the game
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, the sequel to Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, was released in 2005. It was released in Japan as Akumajō Dracula Aoitsuki no Jūjika (Devil's Castle Dracula: Cross of the Blue Moon). DoS uses the same soul system as AoS and has a new system, the Magic Seal, that is used to defeat bosses. Unlike most game in the Castlevania series, its character designs are more anime-styled.
The story of DoS involves Soma Cruz, who goes to an imitation of Dracula's castle to investigate a cult. He is aided in his quest by his comrades from the previous game, and faces off against the cult's leaders, who strive to become the dark lord of the castle. Past that, much of the plot is a spoiler, and as the game is fairly short I recommend you play it instead of reading a summary.
Character profiles will be added soon.
